2020 Honda Grom ABS

EXACTLY AS MUCH FUN AS IT LOOKS.

2020 Honda Grom ABS:

Does that thing look like fun or what? It’s the 2020 Honda Grom, and it’s ready to make the most boring parts of your day the most fun. It sports a 125cc engine that delivers loads of usable power. New riders will love the light weight and approachable size, but even experienced motorcyclists can’t resist the Grom’s agility and total fun factor. And of course, it’s built with legendary Honda quality and reliability, so you’re getting around practically hassle-free. Turn the shortest trips into the most epic adventures and save a bunch on gas with a new Honda Grom.

The sporty, pocketsize model that inspired a cultural revolution returns for 2020 with fun new colors, but it still has a serious side, with a SOHC four-stroke engine, fuel injection, four-speed transmission with manual clutch, LCD dash, stacked LED headlight layout and available ABS. It all adds up to excellent throttle response, remarkable fuel efficiency, nimble handling and a road-hugging but compliant ride, but the Grom’s most noteworthy feature is inarguably the diminutive size that promises approachability to new riders and fun to more experienced customers, contributing to its status as the industry’s best-selling sport bike.

2020 Honda Grom ABS Totalmotorcycle.com Key Features

Steel Mono-Backbone Frame
The Grom’S chassis provides a sturdy base for a practical bike easily manouevred by new riders whilst needing to be just as adaptable on more advanced terrain and readily accepting a pillion. The rigid, square-section tube of the steel-monobackbone frame joins the headstock directly to the swingarm pivot plates, keeping a minimalistic look.

Aggressive Street Fighter Style
The Grom builds on the original ground breaking design it first hit the world with, this time in the form of an aggressive street fighter style.

LCD Digital Dash and Glimmering LED Headlight
Grom features a newly stacked LED headlight giving the model a distinctive, ultra-modern face. An easy-to-read compact LCD digital dash features a speedometer, twin trip meters, fuel gauge and clock. Switches either side of the display allow the rider to reset the trip meters and clock, or alternate between odometer and tripmeter.

Improved 125cc Two-Valve Air-Cooled Engine
Known for its fuel efficiency, ease of use and longevity, Grom’s 125cc two-valve air-cooled engine has been further developed to produce an improvement in fuel economy. The engine uses low-friction technology such as an off-set cylinder and a reduction in crank inertia means an improved throttle feel and a smoother power delivery.

12-inch cast aluminium wheels
Grom’s 12-inch cast aluminium wheels are a fundamental part of the form and function of this innovative new model. The wheels feature 2.5-inch rims, and new “Y” shaped spokes save weight at the front 120/70-12 and 130/70-12 rear tyres. Hydraulic dual piston front and single piston rear brake calipers work front 220mm and rear 190mm discs.

Suspension Quality
One of the aims throughout the development of Grom was to provide exeptional suspension quality. The 31mm fork (a first on a 125cc Honda motorcycle) reduces upsrung weight and offers an improved dampning feel throughout the stroke, thanks to the piston’s greater pressure-bearing area. A lightweight and robust single rear shock operates a simple and tough “H” shaped structure.

Low seat height
The Grom has a low and manageable 765mm seat height ensuring that owners find it a simple process to load and unload.

Honda Announces Enjoyable, Friendly 2020 On-Road Models – Monkey, Grom, CB300R return

“For Americans, motorcycles are all about fun, and it would be hard to find three bikes that better represent that particular emotion,” said Chris Cox, American Honda’s Manager of Experiential Marketing/Press. “The Monkey, Grom and CB300R appeals to riders from multiple generations and with varying experience levels, and all three squeeze modern features into diminutive, entertaining packages. It’s no wonder they continue to be very popular with customers.”
