The 2nd weekend of August sees Team SUZUKI ECSTAR on track for round 11 of the 2019 MotoGP™ series with Alex Rins onboard the GSX-RR.
Unfortunately, teammate Joan Mir was injured in Monday’s test at the Bruno Circuit in the Czech Republic, following round 10, and is now recuperating, which leaves Rins sole rider for the Red Bull Ring Spielberg race in Austria that gets underway tomorrow with first FP sessions.
Rins sits 4th in standings, with MotoGP Rookie Mir 13th, but the young Spaniard hopes to be back in action very soon.
In America, AMA Superbike and Motocross is on track: In MotoAmerica Superbikes, round 7 takes place at Sonoma Raceway, where Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing’s Toni Elias heads to the race with a 39-point advantage and top of the standings aboard his GSX-R1000. Teammate Josh Herrin is currently 5th.
The JGRMX Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team is at the Unadilla National for Round 10, where new RM-Z450 rider Fredrik Noren holds 9th overall, while in the 250cc class, Alex Martin is 7th on his RM-Z250 and teammate Kyle Peters 18th.
