With a dominating saddle height of 910mm, the Ténéré 700 Rally’s new seat, re-designed fuel tank and modified clutch cover offer more flexibility for you to move around off-road. The cockpit features a new 6.3″ TFT dashboard, which comes with a unique ‘Raid’ layout that presents only the most relevant information you need when taking on the most challenging terrain. Displayed in the style of a rally road book, it’s one of three dashboard layouts and just one of the ways in which you can personalize your riding experience and adapt it to the conditions.
Fully adjustable long travel KYB front forks
The Ténéré 700 Rally features high end, fully-adjustable 43mm KYB front forks. With strengthened tubes and a special coating to reduce stiction, the fork stroke is increased by 20mm over the standard Ténéré 700, to give a front wheel travel of 230mm and a massive 255mm of ground clearance.
Rear shock with increased stroke and full adjustability
Designed to work in perfect harmony with the front forks, the Ténéré 700 Rally’s rear suspension unit is engineered to excel in the harshest conditions. Offering 220mm of wheel travel, 20mm more than the standard Ténéré 700, it features a completely redesigned rear linkage and shock absorber. A large bump stop is used to handle rough terrain, while the unit features a piggyback reservoir with aluminium body to keep internal oil temperature down for consistent damping in all conditions. As you would expect, it is fully adjustable, with a hand adjuster allowing preload to be changed without any tools.
Exclusive heritage livery
Celebrating the storied history of the Ténéré, the Ténéré 700 Rally pays homage to the past with a stunning 80s heritage livery, complemented by gold coloured spoke wheels and Yamaha’s iconic speedblock design. With its high level front fender and classic Ténéré silhouette, there’s no mistaking the DNA of this real adventure motorcycle, built for the most discerning riders.
High level rally front fender
Completing the distinctive Ténéré look is the iconic high level front fender. Colour matched and designed to be practical as well as beautiful, the higher fender reduces mud splatter in sloppy conditions and eliminates the risk of mud clogging between the tyre and guard.
Dedicated one-piece rally seat
Unique to this model, the dedicated one-piece rally seat offers a slightly higher and more upright riding position than the saddle found on the standard Ténéré 700. Additional padding combines with the taller suspension to give a commanding 910mm seat height, 35mm higher than standard, with the premium dual material cover coming embossed with a Rally logo. The saddle is shaped to offer greater off-road control while standing, while also increasing comfort in the seated position.
Off-road focused ergonomics
The Ténéré 700 Rally has been carefully updated to offer an even greater sense of unity between rider and machine. The new fuel tank has been moved forward and the fuel cap sits lower for improved weight distribution, while the shape is narrower to offer improved knee grip for maximum control on all kinds of surfaces. This is complemented by the flat rally seat which is narrow and makes it easy to shift your weight around when riding off road.

Updated for 2025, the critically acclaimed CP2 engine benefits from the adoption of the YCC-T electronic throttle, which facilitates a host of new features and a more linear torque curve. A new air intake enhances the aural experience, while a smoother gearshift is also among the updates. Externally, a new clutch cover gives you more legroom in both the seated and standing position.

YCC-T electronic throttle offers perfect connection between rider and engine and facilitates two ride modes, giving you the opportunity to choose the throttle map which best suits your riding style. Sport gives the sharpest throttle response, while Explorer offers a smoother power delivery which excels in low grip conditions.
Switchable ABS and TCS at the press of a button
Giving you the ultimate control when riding off road, both the ABS and traction control can be fully switched off at the press of a button. The ABS has three settings, which can be selected through a dedicated button placed in the cockpit or using the new switchgear via the TFT dashboard menu. As well as fully on and fully off, ABS can be disabled only on the rear wheel, allowing you to utilize the rear brake and throttle to steer on loose surfaces, while still enjoying the benefits of ABS at the front.
6.3-inch colour TFT with Raid theme, connectivity and navigation
Positioned in the style of a rally road book, the large 6.3” colour TFT display emphasizes the Ténéré 700 Rally’s premium design and has three distinct theme options, including an additional ‘Raid’ display.
