Any change in suspension to enhance the off-road performance of the Scram?
The long travel suspension of Scram was designed to offer best balance of ride and comfort over various riding terrains – we have retained the aspects that have proved to provide a great customer ride experience – The suspension is very capable already and thus does not require to be altered. The travel of 190 mm at front and 180mm at rear is still higher than most competition scramblers and adventure motorcycles.
How would the performance of Scram 440 rate against the Himalayan?
The Scram 440 is a cross-over motorcycle. It uses the long stroke air cooled single cylinder that is designed for low end torque and easy riding within. The 25.4bhp and 34 Nm of performance is aimed at laid back riding with ample torque at all road speeds.
On the other hand, Himalayan 450 is an adventure motorcycle and uses a liquid cooled 450cc single cylinder that is designed for higher performance. This is reflected in the 40bhp power and 40Nm torque figures, these numbers translate to higher performance on the road.
What is the fuel tank capacity, fuel efficiency and tentative range?
