With its reverse-head engine and lightweight aluminium chassis, the WR250F provides an ideal blend of useable power combined with easy agility. Developed using Yamaha’s MX2 race winning technology, the WR250F is equipped with enduro-specific features such as a wide-ratio gearbox, revised intake and exhaust systems, special mapping and a high capacity cooling system.
Producing strong and useable torque that gives every rider the ability to achieve their personal best in different conditions, the WR250F delivers motocross speed with all-terrain performance.

This is the kind of enduro bike that is ready to give you winning performance in a wide range of riding conditions. Developed from Yamaha’s Grand Prix winning motocross bike, the WR250F delivers stunning acceleration and speed – and with its enduro-specific features and class-leading suspension this machine is built to conquer the most technical terrain – from high-speed tracks through to technical woods riding.
The YZ250F-type cylinder head features a wide intake port and high-performance exhaust camshaft that give rapid mid to top-end performance while retaining the WR250F’s strong low rpm torque. And the lightweight aluminium beam frame developed from Yamaha’s motocross bike has been enduro-tuned to give the right balance of rigidity for precise feel and accurate surface feedback over tough terrain.
A light and powerful front braking system gives you ultimate controllability – and enduro features include a multi-function meter and a specially-developed exhaust and muffler design. The light-feeling clutch and 6-speed wide-ratio transmission are ready for the most extreme challenge – and with the Power Tuner smartphone app and a 2-mode engine map switch, the intelligent WR250F can be set up to handle virtually any riding or weather conditions.

Quick-adjust clutch, wide 55mm platform footpegs, four-position rubber-mounted handlebar clamps, aluminum handlebars and side stand all come standard for added rider convenience. The WR250F is also fitted with a radiator fan for cool running.

Competition-Bred Engine Performance
The revolutionary liquid-cooled four-stroke powerplant is developed for enduro competition. Intake and exhaust ports work with a high compression piston for a wide spread of power without losing top-end performance.
Forward-Thinking Engine Design
Reversing the cylinder head while placing the intake forward and the exhaust to the rear allow for a straight shot, downdraft intake and straight exhaust port for maximized engine performance.
Mass-Centralized Electric Start
The WR250F features a compact, centrally-mounted electric starter system to minimize restart delays and add convenience.
Six-Speed Gearbox
A six-speed transmission is used to ensure the right gear is available for the wide variety of terrain found in fast trail riding and enduro racing. Transmission features durable gears and a heavy-duty, large-diameter clutch.
