COMPACT PERFORMANCE
The LC8c is the most compact performance engine on the market. Pumping out impressive power, combined with modern electronics and a 6-speed sequential gearbox, and with an estimated 450 km (280 mile) fuel range, it is the perfect combination for extreme offroad exploration. Smooth long-distance travel is assured thanks to two balancer shafts, which keep vibration to a minimum. With long service intervals of 15,000 km (9,320 miles), you can ride for days on end without a worry.
EXHAUST
Rally sound, look and feel
An AKRAPOVIC “Slip-on Line” titanium silencer is installed to add to the rally look and feel of the bike. By using high-grade titanium material, there is a weight saving of about 30-40% compared to the standard silencer and not to mention the aggressive “snarl” that announces the bike’s performance intentions.

A offroad-specific filter from KTM PowerParts is delivered with the bike, for riders who plan to adventure into the most extreme conditions. It is important to note that the use of this filter calls for increased airfilter service intervals (daily in extremely sandy / dusty conditions).

Together with rally-shaped bodywork, low center of gravity and the highest-spec suspension in class, the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY offers the most dynamic adventure ride out there. A steering damper aids stability, while the heavy-duty spoked 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with METZELER Karoo 3 tyres are specifically developed for offroad riding performance.
FRAME
Lightweight, agile and tough
The overall geometry of the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY was developed for light, sporty handling on the street, comfort for longer distances and impressive offroad capability. Strength was a big consideration in the design, so a tubular CroMo steel frame is used with the engine acting as a stressed member to reduce weight and overall size. All design and engineering innovations are focused on ensuring compact dimensions and lightweight.
SUSPENSION
The WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension is the defining feature of this motorcycle. There is no other production ADVENTURE motorcycle on the market with this level of suspension. Produced to exacting standards in a separate production line, both fork and shock absorber not only offer standout ability, but are also instantly recognized by their machined, high-quality finish. The suspension has 270 mm travel, front and rear, which is 30 mm more stroke compared to a KTM 790 ADVENTURE R. This allows the rider to push harder and faster over obstacles while maintaining a higher level of comfort. Essentially, the rider has much more control in a wider range of situations, from high speed whoops to tight and technical single track.
WHEELS
Adventure longer and harder than ever before! The KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY features high-strength DID DIRT STAR rims. The spoked 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels are specifically developed to handle hardcore offroad exploration. With decades of experience and success in the toughest offroad and rally raid events, you can charge off into the most remote wilderness with full confidence. For the most extreme riding, optional, slightly narrower KTM PowerParts wheels, closer to enduro competition profiles, are available and can be run with mousses.Wheel size 21 x 2.15” and 18 x 4.00”.
BRAKES
Top-class stopping power
Stopping power on the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY is boosted by twin 320 mm diameter brake discs with 4-piston, radially mounted calipers up front, and a 260 mm diameter brake disc actuated by a double piston floating caliper in the rear. The front and rear brake combination provides an ideal mix of control and stopping power in all riding conditions.
FUEL TANK
The 20 liter (5.3 gal) low-slung fuel tank is central to this bike’s innovative design. With the main volume of the tank placed as low as possible, it lowers the center of gravity for improved handling. It also keeps the bike narrow in the knee area when standing up, for control when riding offroad. The extra space allows a straighter and lower seat to be used, for freedom of movement and better accessibility. To top it all off, there’s an exceptional fuel range of approximately 450 km (280 miles) on the open road and a lightweight, but durable carbon fiber tank protector that gives a rider the confidence to venture onto more extreme terrain.
ERGONOMICS & COMFORT
The KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY has several adjustable features to enhance rider comfort, including a higher or lower seat option, and six handlebar mount positions. A low-slung fuel tank, which lowers the center of gravity, improves handling, and allows the rider to move around more freely. With lessons learned from KTM’s Dakar Rally success, its long-distance race ergonomics are designed for the most extreme adventure riding. It also features an easy-to-access air filter that can be changed out on the trail to keep performance at a maximum.
HANDLEBAR

An aluminum-tapered handlebar allows maximum control while offering a comfortable riding position. The handlebar can be mounted in six different positions, which results in 30 mm of adjustment range, allowing for a personal fit.
SEATS
Shaped to move
A high, race-specific straight seat is a clear statement of this bike’s rally intentions. The single piece seat enhances offroad riding ergonomics, easing the transition from sitting to standing. Grip and stability
The rally footpegs offer more grip and a wider platform for more comfort when standing on the bike. Standard KTM 790 ADVENTURE R footrests can also be installed.

The lower profile lets the rider move around the bike more freely when standing and offers an unobstructed view directly in front of the bike, even when the screen is covered in dirt. The higher screen from the KTM 790 ADVENTURE can also be installed for more wind protection. The screen and winglets are clear instead of smoked, to enhance visibility and the feeling of lightness.
BODYWORK & GRAPHICS
This extreme travel enduro concept is built around a lightweight and compact enduro-oriented chassis, and continues with sleek but impact-resistant bodywork, which not only offers protection for the motorcycle, but also reduces the overall weight so it can be easily ridden further offroad. Its bold and agressive KTM design has been developed in parallel with the new Factory Racing rally bike and is available in a limited edition, race-styled color and graphics.
BODYWORK
Push harder for longer
The bodywork on the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY has been kept to a minimum. The robust plastics have been manufactured in color to retain their appearance, even when scratched. The tank spoilers and rear side panels are slightly wider than the seat for improved control and to reduce wear and tear on the seat. The LED headlight mask is reduced, taking design cues from KTM’s rally bikes to create a slim, lightweight front end.
GRAPHICS
A completely new and unique color, as well as graphics with more than a nod to KTM’s Factory Racing effort adorn this limited edition ADVENTURE machine.
