Kevin Stollings Jr. Unveils 2018 American Flat Track Team

INDIANAPOLIS (March 10, 2018) – Kevin Stollings Jr. is pleased to announce that Roof Systems of Dallas, Texas has come on board as a title sponsor for his American Flat Track race program in 2018.

Since his debut in the series in 2016, Stollings has impressed and is considered as one of the sport’s rising stars. The 18-year-old built on his debut season of five podium finishes with two wins in 2017 and six podium finishes. He finished both seasons fifth in the points standings with a small, family-run privateer effort and heads into 2018 with his eyes set on the AFT Singles title and extra support from Roof Systems owner Jerry Stinchfield Jr. – someone he sees as part of the family.

“I am excited for the upcoming season with Jerry Stinchfield and Roof Systems of Dallas Texas on board,” Stollings said. “Jerry has really done a lot to help me out, not just in racing but as a friend and mentor. He contacted me in 2017, wanting to help me out, and from that point on we have become really close friends. He is like my second dad, and is always there to help me when I need it. I look up to Jerry because he is a great man and always points me in the right direction. He likes to have fun at the track and away from it, and makes the best of every situation. I’m grateful to have him on my team and to have him as a friend; he is a blessing.”

Stinchfield is a long-time fan of flat track racing, and Stollings’ talent stood out straight away. The Texan was happy to offer support for who he sees as having a lot of potential. “I watched Kevin during the 2016 [American Flat Track] season,” said Stinchfield. “And saw him get five podiums during his first year as a pro – which was really astounding. So we decided to jump on board during the 2017 season, and this young man won two Nationals and set more poles than anyone in the AFT Singles class. He still amazes me and we truly believe that 2018 will be his breakout season.”

In addition to going after the AFT Singles Championship, Stollings will be using a provisional to race both Springfield Miles aboard the Stollings Racing Indian Scout FTR750s and looks forward to making his first-ever AFT twins main event.

Once again, Kevin Stollings, Sr. will be heading his crew with the help of engine builder Woody Kyle and mechanic Zach Woodrum.

American Flat Track will kick off its highly-anticipated 2018 season with the Bigger, Better, and Faster Harley-Davidson TT presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys at DAYTONA under the lights inside the fabled trioval at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Tickets start at just $30
