Is there any more information you can add to this? HIgh high does it idle exactly? And what's the history of the bike? New to you or have you had it for awhile and it just started this?

The first thing you'll want to do is take it to a mechanic you trust and find out what code it's throwing. That will give you a general idea where to look and a plan of action to diagnose the problem. Could be 100 things from this description.
