Hard for me to vote on this one. Had to edit my post after looking at the stats and thinking about it. Uncool. Horrible price.

So in Canada you are looking at $50,000 to take the bare bones model out of the showroom. If you really want to turn heads at Bike Week you could spend $30,000 on a real custom bike and put a good-looking, anatomically-correct naked girl on the back and be up $20,000.

It is a nice looking bike, (at least the red one is - the white one looks like it was done with a Sharpie) but this is a bit too pricey for a motorcycle. I will give them credit for actually putting a price tag on it, unlike the Ducati from last week, but geepers, Betty, that's horrifying.

And, sadly, there will be a waiting list for them.

I have a friend that rides and recently bought another friend's Harley and he does love riding it. Admittedly, he hated the Sportster he once owned (as did I). But he didn't pay a mortgage to get either.

Unless and until HD fixes the inherent problems in the Twin Cam engines (all of which are exacerbated by cranking the power), every one of them rates a "fail".

Solid cool. Anyone who has put a lot of miles on an HD Rushmore bike can tell you they do a lot of things really well. They're a big improvement over the previous generation of big twin touring bikes. The CVO glide doesn't earn an awesome vote because there isn't really anything meaningfully different between this bike and the Street Glide Special, definitely not enough to justify the $13000 price difference. The CVO comes stock with the 110 inch engine, but you could buy a Street Glide Special and spend some of your leftover $13000 on a big bore kit, heavy breathers, exhaust, cams, and a gear drive cam kit, and still have enough leftover to have it all installed. You would ride away with an engine producing north of 125 ft. lbs of torque. The CVO option just isn't worth it.

I went with: Cool

I really like the creativity of the Harley-Davidson CVO line, they are top quality components but at a super-uber-premium price tag. I rode and reviewed a 2010 CVO Fat Bob and loved it but the $37k price tag was, OMG, how much?

Now with the new "S" line, you get the 110 engine (an awesome engine vs the 98/103) at a much lower price point. This makes the CVO lineup a little, well, underwhelming now for the price, unless H-D decides to put in a 125 engine! LOL.

2016 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide - Coolness Factor = 49.2%

Your Coolness Factor of the 2016 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide is:

Awesome (3 points) 24% [ 5 ]
Cool (2 points) 24% [ 5 ]
Uncool (1 point) 29% [ 6 ]
Fail (0 point) 24% [ 5 ]

Total votes: 21

= a Coolwall Factor of 49.2%

Notes: Wow, that was a very, very close vote with almost a 4 way tie! I can't see the Harley faithful being happy with the outcome, but I don't suspect it's the brand nor the model that got hammered but the price Harley-Davidson is asking that really brought the rating down. If that's the case, it goes to show, there is an upper price limit you can ask for a motorcycle and $37/$43k can buy you are really, really nice car or any other bike (or collection of used bikes) you could ever want. Also with the introduction of the "S" line up, the CVO is looking a little overvalued as the "S" can be had for much less with the same 110 engine... and as another side note, the 2016 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide is the CHEAPEST CVO model for 2016... ouch.

Get excited as the next TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting and discussion, have fun!
