Mechanics

Not sure if this is the right forum, but eh. Couldn't hurt. Does anyone have any resources to learning the mechanics of motorcycles? I'm already working on finding a copy of "The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Maintenance." But are there any places to learn this type of thing online? Thanks in advance. :mrgreen:

I went to the city library and they had books on bikes and some repair manuals. Unfortunately they did not have the one that I needed. You may have a better selection where you are.

You can pick up service manuals for specific bikes.. it usually has enough information for all your maintenance needs. Try amazon, ebay, half.com, etc

I have been trying to get a repair manual for my 700 maxim and I am having trouble getting the exact manual. Bye the way I was born in La Grulla Tx.

I am going to try the ebay again. The reason I mention La Grulla is that is deep South and I know where you are coming from. If you have a certian problem with your bike post it and some one may be able to help you with it.

This guy is a little nutty, but he has some real good repair info on his site and it's pretty user friendly for non-mechanics

i actually seriously checked through this site yesterday and it is a great wealth of knowledge...

but all the god struff is kind of creepy...but hey we cant all be perfect.
