Who knew?
Apparently Calgary has Canada's best weather? It's only the 10th of January and it feels like this winter has gone on forever. I can't imagine what you other poor Canadians are going through if things are so good here.....

Re: Who knew?
Over here in Blighty we have had a very mild yet wet winter so far. The news this morning said we are going to have a "freak" weather system moving in = snow/sub zero temperatures.................it's winter for f***s sake! What's freaky about that?

Well, you got me there....ceemes wrote:What is Calgary's best feature? Highway One West back to BC!!!!!!!!!!!
This is all I have when I go out for a ride after work:
If you consider the cows - it's gridlock....
Admittedly, I have always steered clear of Tsawwassen because of the traffic and the time it would take to get there and back. I try to actually avoid Vancouver in general for the same reasons, not that it's not beautiful.
Let's see some of your after work roads....

Re: Who knew?
Taking a picture of an after work road would be a little tough, all downtown like it is.
Here's the road TO work...
So hey, pour a beer out for me or something next time you're on that sunny stretch of asphalt. (-:

Re: Who knew?
Believe me, while it's actually sunny out there today, the riding conditions are nothing like my pictures at the moment. We actually are in the middle of one of the coldest and snowiest winters in recent years, and while we can often bust the bikes out for a ride in the middle of most winters, this will not be one of them. I am starting to think that global cooling is the "new reality". Damn those greenies and their CO2 cap and trade schemes!!!JackoftheGreen wrote:So hey, pour a beer out for me or something next time you're on that sunny stretch of asphalt. (-:

We went from rain snow to ice to snow and then fog and more rain.
