I know it's not quite motorcycle related, but a lot of us are gearheads through and through, so yeah...
Carroll Shelby passed away today at age 89.
When all you have to do is say "Shelby" and gearheads the world over start drooling, you know you've got a reputation for performance.
RIP Mr. Shelby, you'll be truly missed.
RIP Carroll Shelby

Neither am I but he wasn't just a Ford guy either. He built a few concept Jeeps and such that had such big engines they'd pop wheelies! Not to mention he gave us a couple of GMs and worked on the original Viper.madjak30 wrote:Man, that sucks!! I'm not even a Ford guy & that still sucks...

Re: RIP Carroll Shelby
True...he also worked with Chrysler Corp in the '80s & '90s with small turbo cars...but he is most famous for his Ford's and his time with Ford Racing...Wrider wrote:Neither am I but he wasn't just a Ford guy either. The race car was a 302, but everyone is more familiar with the 427...all Ford engines & drive trains...jackofthegreen wrote:And let's not forget...
