Aussie riders? Where are we all from?

Hello Girls!
Where is everyone from, how long have you been riding and do you all have any hints, tips and tricks for a newbie?
I am from beautiful Queensland, Australia and would love to hear form you all. :D
I am starting with a Yamaha Virago and she's a great girl. I can touch the ground (thank the lord) so I feel very comfortable on her. One thing I HATE is my boots. Any suggestions for good boots?

Congrats on your new bike, and feeling at home on it! I bet you have some great open space riding in Australia :D
Yamaha Virago is a nice bike.
Im working in Japan and ride a Honda Motard. Nice to meet you!
