2010 brake failure
friend of mine read that the brakes have been know to fail on 2010 HD's. From what I have read there have been a few incidents , but don't see a recall or maintenance notice that I can find..... But I have noticed that my brake fluid has never been changed ,, I have done car brakes in the past but never on my bikes .... is this a job I should let dealer do ?

Re: 2010 brake failure
There is a massive recall in effect for touring HD's from 2009-2012. Your local dealer will be able to tell you if yours is one of the bikes on the list. You can also go to HD Canada's website and enter your VIN number on the Safety Recalls page.
Changing out the brake fluid is not a complex task, but you do need to have the tools and knowledge how to do this. If you're a regular DIY kind of owner, you can purchase the official service manual from HD and read up on the task and then decide if it's within your skill level or not.
