Full face helmets do more protecting. It keeps your face warmer in the cold months.. My wife has a tinted visor on her helmet. I am thinking of getting mine tinted.

Re: HELP! Sun Glare
I was having a terrible problem with sun glare. It seemed I was always riding back home with the sun setting in my eyes which was making riding pretty dangerous.
The solution: electric tape.
Tape 2-3 lines of electric tape on the outside of your clear helmet visor starting at the top and ride with your visor down. Electric tape is cheap and easy to carry with you. It doesn't fall off like a static shield and peels right off at the end of the ride without leaving a sticky residue on your face shield.

Re: HELP! Sun Glare
I had a face shield that was transitional like a pair of glasses, worked great...
