I thought so, too.jstark47 wrote:I could see two hours. Six seems excessive.
I kept coming back to my computer once in a while to check it and it was still running. Finally after 6 hours I stopped the scan.
It didn't have any bad stuff in it anyway.

My computer had a stroke I think. Mind you it is about 12 years old.

Does anyone know how to stop the "sweep" feature in outlook email? I have looked in the help section, but can't find anything.

Blues,
Not familiar with Outlook myself, not since I started using GMail at least. I don't know if you're using OL 'stand-alone' on your computer or the Outlook.com web-based application, but if you're using the web-based service I found this article that might help...

Thank. I saw that page. It didn't tell me how to turn off the sweep.JackoftheGreen wrote:Blues,

The Outlook never used to do that. It's the new and improved.....hahahahahahahaha...
Doesn't matter what web based program it is...they always seem to need to change stuff. Whether it's Facebook(which I don't have anymore), or Yahoo mail, or gmail, or .....they keep so called improving...and then we have to figure out how to use them all over again.
