what costs more? new air filter, or new spark plug?

Went out to purchace a new air filter and a new spark plug for my CRF450, the air filter was $12.95 and the one each spark plug was $18.95, The plug is an NGK Laser Iridium #IFR8H11

that's a pretty cheap air filter...up here they go for around $25

that spark plug sure is expensive. I hear the only real benifit of the iridium plugs are that they last longer. I think I'll cheap out and buy the less expensive plug. my spark plugs cost about $3 a pop and the air filter was about $25-30

Lucky, the last filter i bought was $48. And when i went to go get a plug for the RM they wanted $30 for an iridium, so i chintzed out and went with the $7 one.

Why buy an iridium spark plug? Cost twice as much but only last a few miles longer. Big deal.

Yeah really, my service manual says to change out my plugs every 4k and I'll stick to that...
