Actually, it looks like the AMA is judging it to be legal, given that it is standard equipment on a commercially available streetbike. The new rulling just hasn't been communicated yet, as stated in the followup to the original story.

that may be a form of traction control... but it's a mentally challenged one. it doesn't matter, as long as you're in 1st-4th gear, the timing is mentally challenged.JCS wrote:Verm, did you put the TRE on the 750? oh and they put the timing ret@rd for the same reason they put optimistic speedos on the bikes.
