oh ok... i thought TT racing is any race that is not inside a racetrack, like the isle of mann.

TT = Time Trial.

At the Isle of Man riders leave at seperate intervals and the one with the quickest time wins. Road racing is the conventional format where they start together and the first rider across the line wins.
