Although, isn't dirt tracking dying off somewhat?
I'm not really sure. I think it still has a good sized following in the USA, or HD wouldn't bother to tool up a bike like this. They won't do anything if they don't think it will bring in revenue.

I post AMA new releases in our Daily News Forum each week: viewforum.php?f=13 those Flat Track race reports are one of our most read articles. AMA Flat Track doesn't hold a ton of races each year, but still quite a few. So I would guess it's definitely holding it's own for interest sake. I've never seen one myself, but I would be interested.

Last night's Flat Track news:

I went with Cool.

I was going to vote Awesome, but I'm heavily suspicious of the new Street 750 engine's performance and I'm not sure really how much more they can do to it as it's quite a ...sorry, I can't say it in a better way... a heavy, low hp lump, in the Street bikes. I really with H-D could have make it more competitive and the bike lighter, that said, I bet the 2017 Harley-Davidson XG750R Flat Tracker shaves 100lbs off the Street 750's weight and adds another 20hp.

I love the look of the 2017 Harley-Davidson XG750R Flat Tracker, it reminds me A LOT of the XR1200X, a bike that really should have kept going as it was starting to create a new H-D category (like the Street is now).

Only a matter of time then the XG750R will appear as the Street 750R and a Street 1200R... :)

Your Coolness Factor of the 2017 Harley-Davidson XG750R Flat Tracker is:

Awesome (3 points) 40% [ 10 ]
Cool (2 points) 48% [ 12 ]
Uncool (1 point) 8% [ 2 ]
Fail (0 point) 4% [ 1 ]

Total votes: 25

= a Coolwall Factor of 74.7%

Notes: Did it come as a surprise to you that few actually hated this new H-D and the vast majority loved it? After 44 years, H-D steps up and finally makes a dirt tracker race only model again, not yet for the street mind you, but I can see a street-version in the works in the near future. As blues2cruise noted, it is good to see Harley-Davidson branching out to reach even more potential buyers, I guess I'll have to create a "Race" sub-heading for the 2017 Harley's now... lol.

Get excited as the next TMW Cool Wall bike for 2016 is now up for voting and discussion, have fun!

They're racing Sat the 4th of June at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City KS. I plan on being there.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
