Fuel flow problem please help

#1 Unread post by AndrejTM »

Hello to everyone at the totalmotorcycle forum!!

This seems like the perfect place for me to post but if it could do better somewhere else just let me know and I will get it moved. anyway, I'mm not sure how well this is going to go down with you guys so please don't slaughter me. I own a 125 scooter That I got from for cheap from a cheap Honda motorbike site here: https://www.cheap.forsale/honda-125cc? it gets me from a - b ad makes life cheap and easy, so I'm happy as can be. Well, that was until the bike started acting all strange, I will try to explain the best I can.

When i'm riding the bike between 10-50 kph there is this terrible problem where the bike will go up and down in power constantly if that makes sense? Like pulling the throttle back and then letting go, pulling back letting go so on, so o. But if i pull the throttle all the way back there is no problems at all, she gets past 50 and will cruse or keep going until top end.

Sorry about the poor explanation but that's about as good as i can explain it. Some specs below

Engine: 125cc
Make: Honda
Kilometers: 69,000
Year: 2013

If there is any other information that you guys could do with then just let me know and i will add it up!! Thanks guys

Could be many reasons. I'd suspect a dirty fuel filter first.
Do you have a service manual for the bike?

Unfortunately i don't have the user manual for the bike. But i was thinking the filter or the fuel pipes could be blocked up. But not sure how to access the fuel filter. I will have a look online now see if i can come across a manual for my bike.

Thanks for the reply!

I have found a manual online but it is for the Pcx version of the Honda Airblade. It's like the upgrade from mine but i'm sure they are pretty much the same, will this help??

Take that as a no. could it be the belt by any chance? or the valves? i have a feeling it's a little worse than the filter
