So i ended up getting a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit with 10k miles. I like it a lot, i will prob keep it really clean and maybe upgrade to a bigger bike in a year or so. But so far, i love this thing. There's tons of back roads/country roads/fm roads where i live, so it's been a blast. Some of the roads i've gone on so far, were very surprising. One was about 15 miles and turned into gravel half way through. These are neat hill country roads out here. Below is a pick of my new bike.

Your Shadow looks very nice. You may find you like it enough to keep it longer than a year.

The red and black is a good combo.

Looks like a fun ride, for the road. If you plan on using that bike for offroad travel, it will do it, but not as proficiently as a dual sport bike might be.
