Seriously the 13 tooth front sprocket is a very cheap and easy mod and the difference is quite noticeable. You will need an impact gun to take the nut off though as it is a single big nut and not multiple small ones holding it.

about how much does everything you've done to the bike cost?

13 tooth front sprocket: $23
125 main jet: $7
40 pilot jet: $8
N1TC needle w/ collar on 2nd notch: $19
Kouba fuel screw set at 2 turns out: $25
Slide drilled to 7/64": $0
Smog removed: $0
KDX snorkel, now lid removed: $23 for the snorkel. $0 if you remove lid(not recommended if you ride through large puddles or streams)
FMF Powerbomb header: About $200 I think...
HMF Muffler: About $230 I think with the optional quiet core...

Assuming you do all the work yourself, the cost of the parts are very cheap other than the header and the muffler. If I was to do it over again, I would not do the header as I think it increased the peak HP at the expense of the low end torque. Also you lose the heat shield that comes on the stock header. The muffler was worth it as it really woke up the bike along with the carb mods and it sounds awesome! If budget is tight, then you can drill out the baffle on the stock muffler with a very long 1/2" drill bit. The cheap and the free mods are a must do. It will completely wake up the bike. Don't do the exhaust mods until you do the carb mods as stock the bike runs super lean as is and you will damage the motor.

FYI, I am at sea level and the way I have the bike set up, it starts instantaneously hot or cold, can be ridden away right away, idles perfectly, and revs from idle to redline with no hiccups or hesitation whatsoever. With all this modification, I still get about 60mpg. I'm actually surprised myself at how perfectly I dialed in the carburation.

YMMV.
