loading problems

#1 Unread post by slimcolo »

I cannot load TMW using Firefox. This just started this morning. Still works with IE. It pops up welcome page for about 10 sec. then problem loading page.

If I cut url from IE and paste on firefox header it works though.

I feel your pain. I have that trouble sometimes too. I just keep refreshing the browser until it goes through. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries to get it to work. Not sure what is causing it though.

I you haven't already, run a spyware scan, it can cause alot of buggy things like this to happen.

I recommend either Spybot or Ad-Aware. Both are free and updated regularly.

PM me if you need a download link.

I moved this to the suggestion box so it may get noticed better and get some more helpful answers.

I always use Firefox and haven't had any such problems. First thing I would do is slam your comp with a good, hard anti-spyware regime.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Yeah this interweb computhingy baffles me too. I just think of it as 'the magic box' and try not to think much more about it. If I get it turned on and connected, I declare victory and call it quits.

Luckily, I don't have to deal with any of that electro-technical stuff. I just beatdown the odd poster with a braincell deficiency and spamscan.

Sorry slimcolo for missing your post and I've been away for a week recovering from my wisdom teeth extraction. (argh).

Glad the problem fixed itself. I didn't change the code anytime during that time period so it might have been the server at the time. ??

I run firefox on Total Motorcycle daily to make sure it loads in that browser. I use IE 99% of the time but like to make sure those who use Firefox can see TMW too. :D

Thank you VERY much for bringing this up in the Suggestion Box, there are a ton of messages posted on the TMW Forums each day and I don't notice these things sometimes as they get buried too fast.
