Marking forums read question Also, spell checking in Firefox

#1 Unread post by paul1149 »

Hi,

Just wondering what marking forums read does. I don't see any difference in the font of the thread subjects when I do so.

Also, for the person who asked, Firefox 2 has built-in spell checking for edit boxes. Just go to Tools/options/advanced/general to enable it.

There's a button on the top right of hte forums that says "view posts since last visit" It brings up any post with new information since you last signed in or since you hit "mark all forums read" Each forum also has a "mark all topics read"

It's another way to work on your obsession with TMW

Thanks. Sunday night I discovered the icon scheme whih is explained at the bottom of the forum topic list. What confused me was the topic links showed Read when I visited them, but not after I marked them Read via the forum function. But that's a browser function, and I need to look at the icons, not the topic font.

I also discovered the icon at the beginning of each topic, which takes you to the newest unread post in the thread. That's perfect for my needs.

Take care,
p.
