where can i get good cashews for cheap?

#1 Unread post by VermilionX »

always been my fav nuts.

i put on the sweets ban again (meaning i don't snack on sweets but i will still eat it for dessert).

but the problem is... im losing too much weight since i stopped eating sweets. i wanna maintain 133-135lbs. im below that now.

i love cashews so that's what i wanna snack on for now but they're so damn expensive. trader joe's, sprouts, they're all expensive.

and yes, steak and potatoes aren't cheap either. >_< ...besides, i don't wanna bulk up, i just wanna get more muscle definition.

When you find out, let me know too. I love cashews, but they're not cheap.

I love cashews too, but either prices have REALLY gone up for nuts here in Texas or Europe was REALLY cheap for nuts... even peanuts! In London, I could pick up a big bag of peanuts for 75 cents (with conversion), in Texas, the same bag is $3!!!

How about bulk food stores? Usually get a half decent price on that sort of stuff.

Our weekly Fiesta Supermarket flyer arrived last night and they have "on sale":

99 cents
POM Wonderful
Pistachios
1.5 oz

Still getting a hang of this "oz" stuff, I know 1.5oz isn't much but really have no idea how much it is.

Does the word minuscule mean anything to you.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

At the same time, pistachios don't weigh much, so maybe an ounce and a bit will be not bad (thinking single serving of spitz bag)

Also mike, have you seen the buy one get one free stuff in the flyers? In NY state where my fiancée lives I'm allways amazed at this. Lol.

Yes, there is a supermarket here called "Randels" (which is Safeway in Canada), and they have the buy 1 get 1 free stuff each week, but both stores in both countries I've noticed what they do is increase the cost of the 1 product to it's highest price ever sold, thus the 2nd one maybe free, but it isn't "100%free" it might be really 2nd one 50% off or less... Personally because of this I avoid those supermarkets as it's hard to really know what is good value there and I used to shop there quite a bit before all this 2 fer 1 stuff came along.
