OK - since you apparently don't get it, I'll try again...
That statement I made was in response to you stating that maybe he shouldn't be an EMT if he doesn't like the sight of blood. I was merely trying to create the understanding that in any situation (amputation, vomit, blood, needles, crushed chest, bullet wound, WHATEVER...), many EMTs can handle seeing these things in their patients but not in themselves. Sorry for not explaining that more clearly for you - I didn't realize it was so hard to understand!!

Feeling the urge to vomit with a certain amount of blood in the stomach is physiological, and the amount of blood that would cause that reaction can vary from person to person. It's not so much the person thinking about blood being in their stomach, but rather a reaction of the stomach itself to expel the blood. It's a defense mechanism of the body.

Anything else?
Yes!

OUCH!

I always follow the rules.
The only exception to the rule occurs when I make an exception to the rule not to make an exception to the rule and that only occurs under exceptional circumstances.

99% of all my nosebleeds come in the winter, when it's doing that -140 humidity thing.

The doctor sais my nose would stop bleeding if I just kept my finger outta there......

nose bleeds suck, but theres something kinda fun about grossing people out by loogey-ing up a good bloody clot thing afterwards...
