Honda is now designing jets and set to go into production. very cool new design. looks like they're gonna kick some butt in this market too... they won the Popular Scince 2006 aviation award.

Several corporate pilots I know are quite excited about the Hondajet. It is supposed to be quite easy to fly. With the cost of jet fuel skyrocketing because of high usage in Iraq, any jet that can save 30% will sell very well.

My dad works for honda, and has got to go to a lot promotional events for the jet. It's supposed to be revolutionary design, that alot of people are very excited about. I don't care much about planes, but it pretty cool. Seems like honda's trying to start with a bang in the plane market.

It costs 3.65 million! But it costs 30 cents less per mile to operate? This plane pays for itself. I wonder if there is a preorder waiting list?

3.65 million - is that Canadian or American?

Eitherway it isnt that bad when you convert to stirling... :) Would I get one if I won the lottery? Bet your daughter I would!

Although I *might* not park it with the other Hondas in the garage...

Where did you get that 30 cents less per mile? That is wrong. The Hondajet is supposed to burn 30-40% less fuel than its competitors. That is a savings of several hundred dollars per flight. It is also faster than its competitors, and to most of the people who buy business jets, those few miniutes quicker trips can be worth thousands of dollars. On top of that, $3.65 million isn't even expensive for a business jet.
