#WorldSSP 2016 @Jacobsen fired up for #France Round 10 – France Circuit Nevers #Magny-Cours, France

Round 10 of the 2016 FIM Supersport World Championship is about to get underway at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, with PJ Jacobsen and the Honda WorldSSP Team ready to challenge for honours in front of the passionate French crowd. The 22-year-old from Montgomery, New York, currently lies third in the championship standings and he is only nine points shy of second place.
One year ago, Jacobsen enjoyed a perfect weekend at Magny-Cours: after claiming pole position, he came out on top on board his Ten Kate-prepared Honda CBR600RR machine at the end of a tricky race in wet conditions. With what was his second win of the 2015 season, Jacobsen also clinched the runner-up spot in the championship.
With this in mind, last year’s Vice Champion now hopes for a repeat performance in what has been a happy hunting ground for him.

Patrick Jacobsen 2
I’m looking forward to racing at Magny-Cours, especially after the race win I took here last year. Our focus will be to get back on the podium and earn some valuable points in the championship as we’re very close to second place now. I really like the track and I hope the weather will be on our side, because it can get really slippery when wet. It’ll be the same for everyone, though, so I’m ready for every type of conditions.

After the fourth place PJ was able to take at Lausitzring and given his great performance towards the end of the race, I’m confident we can battle for the podium at Magny-Cours. We’re still very much in contention for second place in the championship and that’s what we’re aiming for. It’ll be crucial to be up there from the get go and to build some confidence as the weekend progresses; we also need to return to the good qualifying form we had before Germany.
