Just some random thoughts as I posted the new 2017 Motorcycle Models up in our guides: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/2017-mot ... models.htm
- Scramblers are HOT for 2017. So many manufacturers are starting to make them now.
- Cruisers are NOT. Sadly, much less choice this year than any year I can remember... maybe 2004 before the surge in cruiser models? Seems cruiser models are getting cut.
- Naked/Retro are holding their own and growing.
- Adventure bikes are now replacing dual-sports. Even though they are the same thing. More choices for those who prefer them!
- Sportbikes are doing well. Although it's not "crazy times" like it was several years ago with a new model every 2 years, sportbikes and sport bikes, are finding their own spot, and while they seem popular still, don't have the updates or the offerings they used to.
- Dirt Bikes / Motocross... Mostly stale with the same old bikes or little updates here and there. A few new models around, but nothing like the other catagories.
- Scooters. A losing battle it seems, less choices this year across the board.
Prices -- Some manufacturers are now offering really good prices on their products (Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Indian), while other (Honda, Ducati, Harley-Davidson) are offering less value this year.
Photos - Top of the charts this year. Images are great, big and bold!
