New Venture for 2014 - 2015???

#1 Unread post by dr_bar »

I heard a rumor that Yamaha might be re-engineering the Venture line to fit a detuned version of the new V-Max engine. It's what every Venture rider has been asking for, what do think the odds are? Personally, I think it makes perfect sense. Why would they build that engine for only one model??? Is it time to start squirling away my dollars???

If I told you that I was talking to a Yamaha Rep? I asked him about it, he said he couldn't say, but thought that they needed another platform for that engine... Oh said it with a big sh*t eating grin on his face...

It would be pretty cool if they did it and without dumbing down the engine too much. That bike would spank the CVO Harleys beyond belief. :kicking: Rider magazine actually stuffed the V-Max engine in the then Venture back in the 1980s.

I still have my doubts about this one materializing however. :boat:
