That's because you haven't had enough to drink yet.mogster wrote:Good looking bike but don't fancy the rider much
On another note... I'm not sure Victory should have put him in a puddin' bowl helmet, it really doesn't say "we care about rider safety" does it?

At ten he's a two, at two he's a ten.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Re: New 2012 Victory Hard Ball - The Marmite Motorcycle
Come on now Mike...safety is how you sell a bike to your wife, or parents...a "COOL" image is how the Mfgs sell bikes to us...it's a heart thing, not a brain thing...how else do you make a 50+ obese man look cool?totalmotorcycle wrote:On another note... Mike
I think it is a more realistic image than a 25yo model that works out for a living trying to sell me the bike...they are saying "this bike makes anyone look cool..." (I'm not saying the guy looks cool, but that is what the marketing dept is trying to sell us)
If you are trying to break into an established brands market (Harley), then you have to appeal to their customers...not all bikers are sensible and cool, like us!!

Re: New 2012 Victory Hard Ball - The Marmite Motorcycle
I kind of assume someone who's interested in a bagger at least intends to do some mileage on it (or am I being naive?).
So why make a bagger with apes? It's like making an adventure tourer with clip-ons.

Re: New 2012 Victory Hard Ball - The Marmite Motorcycle
The pic remains me of the old joke "What is the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a HD (and apparently Victory) motorbikes? Vacuum cleaners have the decency to hide the dirt bag riding it inside out of sight.
Always ask why.
