Last week Tim and I decided to move forward with him getting a new bike. The weather has improved and he was not comfortable on his Ninja. I started cal...

I find my bike to be a savings but if you want to look into cost of everything, maybe not. However, since the nearest store is 20 minutes away and 20 miles away, I save a lot on gas. If I was in a more urban enviorment maybe the difference wouldn't be so noticeable. Also for commuting to work.

I got a set of precurved strips off of ebay. They where easy, I think tapeworks would be fine. You have to remember to stretch it some. I took a scrub brush to my wheels and soapy water to make sure all the grease and road dirt was off them. I let them dry and put my strips on. They are fine after a...

I did something stupid It may not be stupid on the cosmic scale, but it is pretty dumb for me. I got into an argument with my spouse last night around 0030 hours. I was very unhappy and didn't want to be in the house with him because I'd be tempted to lose my temper and go and raise my voice at him....

Bicycling is hard. Oh my lord it is hard. I got one to start trying to get some exercise done. Wow. I'm fat. This was easier when I was 9 years old and 100lb. Wow. It was also really really fun. My respect for bicyclist has always been high but its higher now. I trundled out to get bird food for my ...

I think it qualifies as a win. I got one of my first lovely weather daylight spring rides. I trundled to the grocery store. Since it is always a nice ride I enjoyed it. Of course the sky then begins to rumble and grumble. Poor me. That meant that I broke with 100mph number today for the first time. ...
