M109R tire wear

I have 4,000 miles on my M109R and I am 1/8 in yet to the wear bars. $230 for Metzler or $470 for the OEM Dunlop (installed.) Heard Metzler are great so will try them..hopefully get more than 4k on those.

Front has a very long way to go before changing.

1000 miles on the M109R in 5 days

Took my first road trip on the bike through Southern Colorado. The bike performed beautifully. Very comfortable, great on curves and all of the power sure made it easy passing cagers and semi's in the mountains. Rode my friend's HD Heritage Softail on the trip for a few miles and was suprised when I...

Utah

The only place I know to be worried is in Utah going to Vegas where there is one exit space that is 200+ miles to the next one. That's cutting it close on most bikes. Also out west you really have to be careful riding out in the boonies..sometimes very long stretches without gas stations and on thos...

Relax

I ride to relax.

Focusing on the bike and twistys makes me forget about everything else going on in my life. Pure focus on something that is incredibly fun to do!!!

Also, love that I get to go places I would most likely never go in a car. The adventure, exploration and scenery all make it worthwile.

Really

Yeah, I wasn't hitting the throttle for very long. Just for the fun of the pull and the roar of the pipes. Very fun and short burst, not taking it up to high or unsafe speeds. Yes, the bike will get you in trouble. Just today I was riding thru the burbs relaxing and saw the Sheriff coming fro...

Dangers of riding in RAIN

Tonight was out riding, didn't think the rain would come and sure enough got caught in the major deluge 5 miles from home. The bike handled fine in the rain (stopping, starting, riding, etc..) except for two times, once when the cross wind picked up (got slippery) and when I crossed a metal train tr...

Ur bike rocks

Your Bike ROCKS!! Very cool mods, love paint, the Ex-wife and gattling gun exhaust. (stock exhaust is what I didn't like about the Warrior) Some folks don't like mods or chrome..but I agree with you. Personalize your bike and make it yours unlike anything else you see on the road. That's a big reaso...

examples

Knowing what I know, now that I've put 8000 miles on my bike, and seeing that the original post asked for recommendations on a certain price for a young rider, I would say that this young chap should try to keep it real, and look at mid-sized engines. Anything over 800cc might be too much to ask, c...

pic

Seeing that picture reminded me of a story my friend told me the other day of riding up to Stugis on the big Whyoming straight freeway. He was really tired so he locked the throttle, put his feet on the passenger pegs and leaned forward and grabbed the forks to steer. Sounds dangerous as hell, bu he...

Re: M109R

Personally I don't think someone should spend 12000 on a first bike. That's a lot of money that'll go to waste if they decide they don't like it. Additionally, you don't need to balance that heavy Hummer at a stop... but the 800lb M109R needs to be balanced all the time, which can be difficult - es...

M109R City Cruising...........yeah

Took the M109R out tonight for some cool cruising in the city. Love to get the bike at 4K rpm and hit the throttle. The pipes light up and sound awesome!!! Plus you get the thrill of quick, smooth acceleration and don't launch into the 'I'm speeding' pull me over mode without time to slow back down....

My bike has a 'pass' toggle switch. When my lows are on, and I'm holding down the pass switch (actuated by my left index finger above the hi/lo switch) it turns it to highs, and as soon as I release, it goes back to low. So I leave my low's on most of the time and just flick this switch rapidly (li...

Speaking of Busa..loved seeing the COP Busa on Super Bikes last night...it was from a drug siezure and ROCKED!!!

That cop must have the worst job (NOT) having to take that baby out to catch speeders every day.

Yellow Light - Power Brake or Hard Throttle

Tonight hit quite a few yellows when out night riding. They come up quick (in 50mph zone) and you need to decide NOW..do I hit the brakes or hit the throttle????? Tonight I hit the throttle, the bike accelerated smoothly thru the light before it turned red each time. Much easier than trying to hit t...
no, that just means you're too cheap to put quality parts in your car :D
I put quality parts in my car (i.e. Bosch plugs, K&N Filter) and believe it or not your stealer is using some of those same parts found at the auto parts store but at a much higher price. At leas...
