Re: Where there's a will...

The best part of that video is how he's all about the bikes, how they work, and what he did to modify. Very, very cool. Yeah, when he was younger (heck, he's still a kid!) he bought scrap bikes and rebuilt them and sold 'em off for profit. He knows infinitely more than I'll ever know! The only reas...

Re: Where there's a will...

Super duper thread resurrection bump.

Figured I'd post an update (video is kinda old).

Just got a new R1, it is pretty scary to ride, but you get used to it quick, it's a well behaved bike. You guys have to remember that the bike will only go as fast as you would like it to, just keep it under control. The bike is mental in terms of it's speed, I agree, but at the same time, you can ...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I live about 20 mins from Barber Motorsports Park so I do get some track time in, even the track guys I know though say a 600 is much easier to ride fast on the track than a 1000. Much more "usable" power, that's for sure. Most only use the lower 3 gears at Ba...

My first ride on a literbike

First off let me state, while I'm technically not a "new" biker, in the grand scheme of things I'm still a naive and inexperienced rider. I'm putting this in the New forum to hopefully inform a few potential riders... I'm up in St. Louis with my wife's family for Thanksgiving and my brothe...

Sorry to hear about your friend. Didn't lose his life but my ridding buddy who was with me literally every minute I was on a bike the first 6 months I had it was hit head on by a soccer mom in an SUV who was talking on her cell phone and yelling at her kid in the back seat. The impact shot his right...

Even though the '08 250 looks sweet as your first bike chances are you're gonna drop/bang/crash it at least once, alot less heartache to do that to a used pre-banged up bike.

Probably around the time the '08's hit the floor. As stated, even if it's the exact same bike with a different color, the price of the '07 will drop a decent amount.

Place I know of will drop the price of say, a '07 CBR 600RR by $2000 the day the '08's hit the ground.

I just don't like Harleys Can't speak from personal experience but Buell's just do not seem to hold up well (sort of like their parent company). And, not trying to play favorites, but... Looks like Ducati and Aprilia will have a new sport-Twin to worry about in 2008. Last time I checked Buell tried ...

No one's ridden it yet, not out. It's essentially the Ninja 650 frame/body with a 249cc motor. Definately an "about time" change. Now if they'd just make the EX500 less ugly...
