I biasedly voted awesome. While the gixxer certainly is not as comfortable as other bikes I've ridden, it's got umph I fear I'd miss with other bikes. I think the weight reduction on the new model is reason enough to upgrade. Light bikes are really affected by weight, so 20lb off is quite an upgrade...

I had a 500cc v-twin ninja for a few years thinking I was riding a sportbike. It was really just a cruiser with an aggressive riding position which is good for practice I suppose.. Then 8 years later I bought this gixxer 600 thinking I had experience with sportbikes... Well this is a whole a new bea...

I had my dealer do an oil change while he replaced some servo in the exhaust. The bastrd charged me $75 for it!

I'll be learning to do my own, no doubt.
