Almost all motorcycle companies are in the same boat, maybe not 22% but pretty close. I wonder if its the same with auto sales though as super-luxury cars are not really taking huge hit. Obviously total sales are way down, but does anyone know if super-bikes or high end cruiser sales are dipping? B...

If you have completed braking prior to corner entry/turn-in, it's not trail braking. It's the MSF Slow-Look-Press-Roll cornering process, whereby slowing is done before you turn-in (and using both brakes, as de facto good habit). In practice, it's a seamless process as you execute this process but s...

The joy of semantics... Trail braking is like an oil thread. Everyone's got their favorite definition. The "concensus" definition of trail braking is braking beyond the corner entrance with gradual reduction of brake application as the apex approaches (and presumptively, lean ang...

They also recommend that you shift to 6th gear at ~ 25mph.

That's just more c.y.a. boilerplate. As long as you aren't doing repeated dragstrip launches or slipping the clutch at say... 40+mph, I don't see any reason NOT to use the clutch for low speed/limited space manuevering.

On the flip-side, it also makes you wonder how much "marketing" the fuel stabilizer manufacturers do... At any rate, I'll find out this year. I forgot to go get stabilizer when I stored the bikes in mid-November. Looks like there will be a period of warm weather but realistically, I don't ...

I have heard that any quality modern gasoline is stable and robust enough to last through a typical CONUS winter without the need for additional additives or fuel stabilizer. Off topic: I wish Ducati would get rid of that servo assisted start feature. From my experience, it doesn't add anything exce...

Re: Parts That Break the Most

Just trying to get some general info, what would you experts says breaks down the most, generally, on motorcycles? This runs the gamut. In my opinion, as other posters have said, a properly maintained and cared for modern motorcycle is quite reliable. From my experience, I tend to have more ...

Sorry to hear about the horizontal parking d00d. Glad to hear you weren't hurt. All things considered, it's a lot better to drop it at walking speed than to crash the thing at higher speeds. If the gravity troll has to be paid its toll, it's better to pay it this way. My 2-cents... Limited space man...

Indeed. A Texan by the name of Colin Edwards once said, "There is no one way, just ride the $#!% out of it."
