For 2020 the Yamaha Kodiak 450 utility models benefit from a number of significant upgrades that enhance their functionality, while a number of other utility, leisure and sport ATVs are offered in a range of new colours and graphics.
2020 Kodiak 450: Rugged, versatile and practical
Throughout the ATV world the Kodiak is recognized as the leading name in the utility class, and for 2020 the rugged, versatile and practical Kodiak 450 comes with a higher standard specification that makes it an even more effective workhorse.
With the ability to pull more than 1134kg / 2500 pounds, the new factory-fitted WARN VRx25 winch is 25% more powerful, enabling this popular utility ATV to take on the toughest jobs in any environment. This higher specification winch assembly also features a load-holding mechanical brake to give better control when dragging heavy loads – and with 15m of steel rope, the new winch is equipped to handle a range of duties in the forest, field or farm.
A key feature of the Kodiak 450 is its compact body design with a roomy riding space that ensures all day comfort, making this an ideal mid-sized ATV for work or leisure. Its high torque 421cc 4-stroke EFI engine drives through the Ultramatic automatic transmission for a smooth and effortless ride – and Yamaha’s industry-leading On Command drive system enables the user to switch seamlessly between 2WD and 4WD when required, with the push of a button.
With a 120kg rack carrying capacity and 600kg towing capacity – together with its increased winch capacity of over 1134kg – the Kodiak 450 is a true all-rounder that can tackle almost any job – and yet at the same time this tough and reliable ATV is the ideal fun and leisure vehicle when the work is done.
For 2020 the Kodiak 450 will be available in a new Olive Green finish that joins the existing Ridge Red, Yamaha Blue and Camo options.

Kodiak 450 EPS and Kodiak 450 EPS SE: Extra convenience and luxury
For 2020 the Kodiak 450 EPS and Kodiak 450 EPS SE models will also be available with a new high specification On Command drive system that is similar to the design used on the top of the range Kodiak 700 EPS and Grizzly 700 models.
This industry-leading system features a Diff Lock function for added traction in extreme terrain, and its design enables Kodiak users to switch easily and quickly between 2WD, 4WD and 4WD with Diff Lock at the press of a button. This ensures that the Kodiak 450 EPS and Kodiak 450 EPS SE rider is able to select the appropriate drive option to best suit the prevailing terrain and surface conditions. The status of the On Command drive system is displayed on the handlebar-mounted LCD dashboard, helping to keep the rider informed.
In addition to the new On Command system, the 2020 Kodiak 450 EPS and Kodiak 450 EPS SE models are also equipped with a factory fitted WARN VRx25 winch that gives a 25% increase in capacity. Able to pull more than 1134kg / 2500 pounds and equipped with a mechanical brake and 15m steel rope, this higher specification winch enhances functionality and gets the job done.
For 2020 the Kodiak 450 EPS will be available in a new Olive Green finish, together with the existing Yamaha Blue and also Camo options. The Kodiak 450 EPS SE comes in a stylish Matt Silver painted body with matching graphics and polished aluminium wheels.

New colours and graphics for the Kodiak 700 models
To reinforce the strong family DNA, the Kodiak 700, Kodiak 700 EPS and Kodiak 700 EPS Alu will be available in the new Olive Green colour option, while the Special Edition Kodiak 700 EPS SE is going to be offered in an exclusive Satin Black and also a Matt Silver colour option with new graphics.
New colours for the Leisure and Sport ATV models
Nothing comes close to matching the Grizzly 700’s reputation as the world’s toughest ATV, and for 2020 this aggressively styled all-rounder is available in a new Olive Green colour option.
In the Sport ATV world the YFZ450R takes racing to the next level with its class leading power to weight ratio and the ultimate sports specification, and for 2020 the YFZ450 SE model will be available in a new Midnight Blue option as well as Ridge Red, giving an even greater choice of colours for sports customers.
The YFM700R SE will also be available in a new Midnight Blue colour option, while the existing Racing Blue and Ridge Red colours will feature new graphics.
