Amazing news.

Andrea and I won a big ol' Harley-Davidson BBQ last night at bike night! We have been going to the Republic HD Bike night now for 9 months (it's every month) as we know some staff there now, they have great free food and a live band, plus lots of bikes to look at. http://www.republichd.com/

So last night, they called my name for the grand prize! :woohoo:

Thank you very much, we were very fortunate to win it. :D

I cooked our first mean on it (NY strip) and it turned out great. I only used 1 of the 4 burners so I could do maybe, 16 steaks on it? LOL.

Did it come with beef? no. And it didn't have a propane tank either, but it did have a cover. :D

Screwed.

Well, at least my tire is after it ran over one on the weekend. :(

So, with a screw firmly stuck into it's juicy 2200 mile tread wear it's off to get a new tire, which leaves me some questions...

1. Replace the tire with the same type (thus matching pair), but have to order in as it's not in stock. (Bias-ply)

2. Replace the tire with a mismatched brand one that is in stock. (Bias-ply)

3. Replace BOTH tires with mismatched brand RADIAL tires.

Hmmm, what to do...

Well, after calling around, I couldn't find a dealer with my OEM tire (Pirelli Sport Demon) in stock, so I checked the online stores in our TMW guide and ordered one from Bike Bandit http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-538038-1174801 which from what I read it will be here in about 3 days. My dealer is willing to install it (as he couldn't get one for 2 weeks) so I'm in luck there.

I was about to go with option #2 but this way I can keep the same set of tires on the bike with minimal down time. :D

Hopefully no screws, nails or flats this time.

For what it's worth, officially you're not supposed to do it, but I've had good luck with patching tires using thread type patches. Considering my weight and riding habits, I am NOT easy on tires, and the patches have lasted just as long as the tire itself.

I used a mushroom plug, then promptly forgot all about it. Needless to say, when I put my next set on, it was still there...

...BTW... he tries to BBQ everything now.

And he is out riding my Ninja since his bike is "screwed"!!! I wonder what he'll say when he returns... he hasn't ridden my Ninja very much and it's been a while...
