Did 100 miles on the bikes today, rode out to Promontory Point and snapped a pic for The Riding Game thread at the Golden Spike National Historic Site. Dropped into a bar on the way back and played pool for two hours, good times.

Rode with a buddy up a very twisty road, going wayyyy too slowly due to the traffic by a tourist event we forgot about. 100 degrees and 30 in a 50 MPH twisty section sucks. Then rode home about a half mile from a fire that is already 1100+ acres and evacuating part of Colorado Springs.

Oh and put a deposit down on a truck. Going out to Vegas the weekend after next to pick it up!

Spent the weekend at a biker rally & had great fun camping in the rain. First time I have ridden with a tent in my backpack but was quite comfortable. I did make the mistake of borrowing my fella's tankbag (as it is bigger than mine) but it didn't seem very secure & I actually handed it over to a car driver to take home for me.

After the rally fininshed I travelled the 6 miles  to visit my brother & family. We don't always get on (putting it mildly), but I thought it churlish not to make the effort as I was so close.

Have stayed the night & now have his beautiful house all to myself as everyone has left for work :D

Just waiting for the morning traffic to clear then I will set off on the ride home. It is only about 75 miles & if I took the motorway I could be back before lunch. However, as we finally seem to have a summers' day I plan to go the very pretty back roads & take my time to enjoy a solo ride.

Feeling quite positive this morning as I have achieved a lot this weekend :D

Went out and got the tires rotated on our Neon, then came home and called our local bike shop to get a price quote for a rear suspension adjustment on PowerSlave. They'll do it for $40.00, which is less than it would cost me to go get the tools to do it myself (bike chock, steering head wrench). Of course the chock is the expensive part, and I'd get plenty of use out of one afterwards, but having someone else do the work sounds pretty appealing. (-:

Not feeling fanstasic today, I think I'll take a sick day and stay home this evening.
