Don'''t they mean close the choke? Or in SA do they say open to apply choke, like the petcock is turned AUF (pronounced OFF) meaning on (in English) for German bikes.

Interesting how different (Fron US or Can. or even the UK) terms and phrases are used in SA.

I love the term "Hooter" for the horn!

Yes, we love our hooters over here, we have several different types of hooters, large ones, small ones and even some that one side is begger than the other.

We are a nation of hooter lovers.

Yes but I believe that your hooters don't work well in the cold

I don't beleive I am writing all yhis twaddle on a thread that was meant to be a refresher for your riding skills.

Ah well, at least I know Slimloco can read and not just look at pictures of hooters like High Side
