Air-powered bike launch at #Sydney Motorcycle & #Scooter Show



A motorcycle powered purely by compressed air will be uncovered to the media at the Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show this Friday.

The 02 Pursuit, designed and developed by Industrial Design student Dean Benstead, demonstrates the potential future of motorcycles and the viability of air as an alternative to petrol and electricity.

Based on the geometry of a 250cc motocross machine, preliminary tests have shown the bike to hit speeds in excess of 100km/h.

Media will be given the first look at the 02 Pursuit at 10.30am at the QBE Stage, followed by a working demonstration in the Action Arena.

What: Unveil of the world's first working prototype of the air-compressed 02 Pursuit, followed by a working demonstration

Dean Benstead will be available for interview and a range of unique visual opportunities for media requiring photo/video will be available.

Freestyle motocross, street bike stunt and trials bike riders will showcase their skills following the demo.
