Wondering?

Is it illegal to have Underglow Lights on your mc and turned on while riding at night in California?

Is it illegal to have reflective stickers and wheel trim on your mc in California?

I don't see much of any of these options (to increase visibility) on motorcycles I see riding in the dark .

The reflective tape isn't. I know in CO it's illegal to have any lights other than your markers/brake/head/turns/etc showing, but technically if it's just the glow they can't do anything unless it's blue/red.

Interesting questions. I can't speak about California, but I've "heard" in Canada you can't have underglow ON when moving... now running lights (ie, truck, 18-wheelers) are allowed so I assume adding running lights would be ok?

You can always stop in at your local PD and just ask. At least if you get pulled over where you got your info form. Being honest and straight forward can help out at times you could really use it.

Just my 2 cents.

The local bike shop sells rolls of reflective tape. What's the best surface to apply this onto? I'm thinking of using this on the back of my bike. With the sun setting earlier, I'm riding around at night more before getting home. Thanks.

Ever considered using this on your clothing. We use reflective stickers on the back of our helmets, really lights up both in daylight and when the lights hit you in the dark

In NJ we're required to have four square inches of reflective tape on each side of our helmets.

I have indeed described myself as a "giant bobblehead alien" when wearing my HJC CL-14. :)
