i read about this guy in the bad lands along, put bike on center stand and kick stand down walk away, turn to take picture, whike looking thru view finder he say he saw bike fall over, he said lucky i learned how to uprite my bike because there was no one around for miles.
so what is the trick? my tmax weighs 600 lb. it fell over with me one time with me on it and died, at a stop sign, i was not going to stop. just bruises and scratches But, i could not raise it. a guy was out in his yard i yelled at him for help, he said i didn't know it was that heavy.
i have a plastic plate for parking on soft ground. :(

Tip 1: ride with friends

Tip 2: carry a knife

My fella rides a Rocket III & I (half) joke with him that he better carry a knife cos if he goes down with that bike on his leg he's going to starve to death!!

Good videos! I had to pick up my motorcycles in the past from the ground, sometimes completely in the middle of nowhere, at other times (the most embarassing) was once when I was walking it down the road and had to make a left turn and I was on the left side of the bike... (my fuel hose from the petcock to the carbs wasn't attached) anyways, I was on the wrong side of the deal and dropping it just as a truck was coming around the corner (slow) and I'm sure they had a laugh at my situation. 30 seconds later and I was off again.

Have a big guy like me around? I've lifted up a VTX1800 before. Not easy but not super difficult either. Being a large human has it's advantages!
