| My Daughter was down with the flu for a week. She had high fever for 3-4 days. She is feeling better now, but during that time, the doctors advised keeping her at home. The Alberta Heath Link says, nothing you can do. Wait it out. Was it H1N1? Who knows! Basically if you are experiencing respitory problems, severe dehydration, they dont want in the hospitals. I just keep thinking of the healthy boy in ontario, who was feeling better, then died the next day. Its scary. |

Triumphgirl, I'm glad your daughter is doing better, yup all you can do is wait it out. Since your daughter had a fever for more than just a couple of days and being sick early on in the season, more than likely it was the H1N1 the regular flu will be kicking in real soon here.
It was sad about the boy, it really hits children (and some others) hard. I know a lot of parents don't want to vaccine there children these days (trend) but it also can be helpfu. _________________ I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.

Thanks kindly. There are so many sick people around. But, like you said, the regular flu has yet to rear its ugly head. I have been fortunate so far. The day they set up vaccination clinics was two days too late for my daughter. But she is back in school and back to her preteen self. |

I certainly hope no one gets it. I wish you all well!!

Apparently the Health Minister in BC has decided that we've reached our peak in BC and the Swine Flu is on a down swing here... _________________
