I'm wondering what other women are taking on the trip(s) to the AMA conference, and how much? LionLady & I will be routing through Kansas, which can be 90+ degrees in August, while Colorado can be in the 40's, and rarely above the 70's (Fahrenheit.)

FYI, it does get in the 90's in CO.
Bring both jackets, your light or mesh and one for the cold day. If you have an olympia rain/mesh coat that is all you need and great for packing.
Bring the clothes that you hate and the undies that need to be thrown out.
Once you were them throw them away. If you need more there is a walmart. or great shopping..
light and warm socks. spray bottle to spray and cool yourself off if need be, they have great ones at big 5 that is a combo water bottle/sprayer, I keep in my water holder on the bar. one of those neck wraps that keeps you cool.
Rainproof gloves (it does rain here and hail) ( you can just use dish gloves over your light glove-they pack tiny) and light gloves.
Windex in a small bottle to clean your glasses and faceshield off.
flip flops so when you take your boots off you still have something to wear and they do not take up much room.
Your toiletry pack it then repack, when you do this with all your stuff you know what to eliminate.
Oh one warm longsleeve shirt..for the cold moments.
A couple of ziplock bags/..you never know, I seem to always need one.
If your wearing mesh or riding pants, you can just wear leggings under or shorts they pack small and wash easy in the sink.
Don't forget your swimsuit...for those staying at a motel with a pool.
CAMARA and batteries or charger. Charger for your other electronics.
I usually bring my computer too. (got a baby laptop)
Some very good SHADES, you don't want to get a headache..speaking of which, your 1st aide kit.

Have you ever tried the Space Bag travel bags? They are awesome. Just like the bags that you vacuum down but they have a 1 way valve at one end so you just put your clothes in a roll the air out. It takes up less than half the space and an added bonus is your clothes are protected if it rains.

I tried one of those space saver a large one but it was too square for my needs. It did not fit well in any of my packs.
One of my bags is a Nelson Riggs, it is awesome you roll down with this bag letting most of the air out, then it clips to keep it out.
I can pack a couple of weeks worth of stuff in it, including my sleeping bag, thermorest and full size pillow. It is an awesome bag.

MZ, you would be amazed at what I have in one saddle bag, my problem is which bike do I want to use?? I still haven't gotten two of everything so the ST doesn't have everything that would stay on the bike yet so I have to keep moving things back and forth.

Wrider I see you must have moved to Gunnison? I love going over Ouray from their.

Wow, these are great suggestions, keep 'em coming. I never would have thought about securing my riding gear to my bike, Blues. That's really good. I will also check out the traveling Space Bags.

In my mind's eye, there are multiple trails of discarded underwear, throughout the land, converging on Keystone in August . . .

I need to get a masterlink for my chain, and a spare bulb for the headlight. Does anyone bother to bring covers for the bike? I'm thinking about motel parking lots. Less to look at, less temptation.

My toiletries will be minimal; y'all will have to put up with the results. My hair will be frowsy, but my teeth will be clean and my skin protected. I promise to bring deodorant. Use it, even.

I'm waaay behind-I'm still looking for a decent tent that's not $300.

Not that I've officially gotten word that I can take the time off yet.

SCGurl, I'm definitely going to be over in that area and I do have a tent you can borrow. I won't be there the whole weekend, but it's a really nice ride to where I am to drop it off again!

Big 5 has them on sale for $30 bucks, you cant go wrong, same one I have and been using it for years.

Nick just tuned the ST, I will probably be taking it up.
Do you all plan on doing a group ride? want to get together at some point for ????
Mz I think I gave you my number....Um, most cell phones work at Keystone, you will just have trouble in some areas.
I'm so excited.

Well, heck yeah! Besides, you will owe me lunch when I win the bug game.

I think I already loaded your number onto my cell. I will double check. I am also making a "TMW" flag for my bike--it'll either be plastered onto the back of my tail bag (cleverly disguised as a cooler, but a classy lookin' one!), or, if I find a mount, a real flag with a pole. I'll post a pic on my blog before I go. Anybody know if "Stitch Witchery" is waterproof??

Besides, there won't be very many Versys' there, let alone one with a classy cooler. :shifty:
