YES!!! Barely! The CR500 was a BEAST!!! :-)
I know a kid that got hurt real bad on a KX500. I think the CR may have been a smidgen tamer than the KX, but either way, a 5 buck 2-smoke is not really meant for mere mortals.

I call her 'stubby' because of her looks as you can see

She's a 2k8 CBR 1000rr. She handles and weighs like a 600 but she has liter bike power. I've owned different bikes from all the different big 4 manufactures but this is my first Honda. Whats not 2 like!

I'm a proud 2002 Nighthawk 750 owner/rider! My first bike was a Husky SM610S SuperMotard which, if you KNOW this bike, is a huuuuge difference from a NH. The Husky had a thrill factor of 11, but on longer trips longer than 20 miles it would kill me. I needed a bike to do some long trips with, and the Nighthawk fits the bill perfectly. Low (or no) maintenance, high reliability, easy to handle, naked standard good looks, lots of stuff available and just overall cool!

Been riding for a while now, I used to wrench in the '70s with a motorcross team. Recently, I've gotten to do some longer rides at around 1700 miles each. The bike has given me no problem whatsoever. I have had a few people surprised that I tour on this bike.

For me, the ride is about experiencing the contours of the land, the mystery of what is around the next hill and the people I meet. When I am old and can't ride anymore...it will be the people that I have met along the way that will bring back the ride memories.

The Nighthawk: just waiting to be a new retro build in the future!

My first 2.5 bikes were Honda's:

My first bike, a 1984 Honda Magna V30. (Which I honestly don't recommend a V4 as the first bike BTW, twins are more forgiving), I got because it had a GREAT tail on it... oh and it could out accelerate a Corvette in a 1/4 mile (in its day)... ah youth. Who needed more reasons to pick a motorcycle back then than that eh? haha.

My 2nd bike was a 1980 Honda Hawk CB400T. I really loved that bike a lot (as you could tell from the amount of money I put into waxing it! haha) and did my best to keep it in like-new condition. That bike did everything from off-roading to driving on sidewalks and across farmers fields (You didn't hear my say those last 2).

See, takes you ANYWHERE and even NO WHERE.

Honda makes some really great bikes for sure. :D

--What's the .5 Honda? Well, I (sadly) crashed the CB400T above and bought another (a CM400T) to try to rebuild the mess (as I loved the bike that much), well, it didn't work out as expected and sold the lot for $500.

Surprising, since Honda builds the Industry Standard, Heavyweight High Mileage Touring Champeen of the World !!

We have an '86 GL1200 Aspencade, and an '88 GL1500.
Goldwings - If it's between your legs, it might as well be enormous, and smooooooth.

Hello everybody

(my english is sometime a littlebit poor so correct me if possible)

I'm from the Netherlands Europe and new to this forum.
I'm 44 years old and married and we have two kids and we both are truckdrivers but i stopt my carreer 10 years ago because
of my kids.
but sometimes you need to do something new in your life so here i am.

I'm new in bikes and it is a whole different way of life and i just found my new love in this way of life.
I bought myself a Honda Magna VF 700cc 1985 and in my eyes it is a true beauty.
For this moment i'm do motorcycle lessons to get my official licence to ride bikes so i hope to pass in about 3 motns from now.
The rules today are very strong and you must show that you can handle a bike in all kind of situations.
My luck is that a have my driverslicence now for 28 years so it should be easy to get my bike licence.

I hope that when i have my licence i wil have lots of fun with my Honda Magna.

I own a 2005 Shadow Sabre (1100). I've had it since the summer of 2007 and love it to death. As far as why I ride? It's that smell in the morning. Of gasoline, tires and unfiltered 4 stroke exhaust. It's the smell of victory errr my childhood. And all the other obvious reasons.
