My Buell

#1 Unread post by XB08 »

Well after riding more and more, I found out a few things.

At 55 mph the bike like to be in 3rd gear the best, go to 4th and it lugs.
The stock tires are great, even when cold they stick lick glue.
This bike handles btter then any I rode in the past.
I do not need any more HP then what it has,( 103hp) .
This is the kind of bike I was looking for ever since I sold my KH 250.Now I just need a 2nd bike for long rides, The buell is good for about 75 miles at a time. Well I guess I can just spot and rest my hands and then ride again, The seat is good(no sore butt) Just numb hands.

Its great to be satisfied with the bike you selected, isn't it?

I test rode the Buell Ulysses a good while back and was highly impressed with it, an excellent bike.
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

I've always had a secret crush on Buells.
I think their street fighters are about the hottest looking bikes on the road.
The reason I say "secret" crush is because whenever I enthuse openly about my feelings for Buells I am most often met with pretty strong negative reactions.

A Buell will turn my head faster than a Ducati.....there I said it.

There is nothing wrong with Buell IMO. They are doing things different then any other company. And I think they are good ideas. I believe Mr. Buell knows what he is doing.

Yes Mr Buell is doing things that work. This bike could out turn almost any sport bike, it dose'nt have the hp as many but it can handle. It sounds more like a guzzi than a Harley. It has a power bnd on it you can get from a V-twin or a 2 stroker. It is just the best bike for how I ride. I like all bikes and can always find something I do not like about them. But this one I love it, I not saying the other are bad , just not for me. The only motorcycle I really hate is the Boss hog, I don't get it.

Beautiful bike! I've always liked the look of Buells too. I'm looking at moving up, and have considered a Blast (I'll only have around $1500-$2000 probably), but they apparently have a pretty dismal reliability record.

The later Blasts are supposed to be much more reliable. As with most bikes as they mature the bugs are taken care of.
