This can get more nasty than you could imagine if you have a spill!

Yeah, that's true. Though, the service that JP folks provide is second to none in satisfaction everywhere here. I have a lot of trust in them in general and frankly, if they ever decided to turn on us, we'd so be screwed.

Is this in Japan?

Yeah in JP. Going into the full service slot, you gotta keep moving through. The station setup (and wallet placement dictates the flow).

Remember, I'm doing all this one handed. So, before anyone goes freaking out about how I gas up (I know I know), I challenge anyone to gas up their bike with one hand. Don't forget about putting on helmet, both gloves and a wrist brace and getting wallet out.

I know/realize/understand and accept a lot more risk for the activities I do compared to normal functioning folks. I have to rescript everything I do and I make no apologies for it.

We gas up most often on base, where the bike goes on the sidestand. In town, I think it's been a couple times in a couple years of riding here we rolled through a full serve. My bike didn't need much gas.

I stand right where I sit, and fill it up right to the brim.

I have an unusual bike. I have to do the under-seat tank with the bike on the sidestand and the seat up. Then I need to do the upper tank while sitting on the bike and holding it straight up.

I get off the bike with it on it's side stand, pull off the gloves and helmet, and fill er up. Gives me a chance to stretch the legs a bit. Usually when the scoot needs gas, she's been motoring awhile and I'm 53 years young. My pegs get a little stiff when setting for awhile.
