You won't believe this....but....the physio guy actually made an apology for what he said to me when he made remarks that questioned my integrity.

It must have really been hard for him to do that......I told I truly appreciated it.

Forgive me for not being impressed with him or his apology. He is a disgrace to healthcare professionals, and to Physical Therapists in particular. You have enough on your plate, you should not have to deal with his attitudes and preconceptions. It's his job to adjust his approach and his manner to his client, in a way that facilitates your recovery.

I am, however, glad that he is beginning to pull his head out of his rear orifice. He's lucky to have a client with enough pluck to stand up to him and skilled enough to begin to get through to him.

What sort of head case is your physio anyway! His professionalism seems to be on a level with his treatment - uniformly incompetent. At the very least he should have given you a direct apology. As it is, it sounds like he was more concerned with the fact that he had made an error of judgement than he was with furthering your wellbeing.

Well done for challenging him, though. It sounds like you need to keep this guy well under control. If you are straight with him, you may also save some other poor sod from getting the same treatment.

Good to hear you are out riding again.

As for posting the picture of pie and ice cream (strictly verboten in my dietary universe.) I will forgive you as soon as my stomach has stopped rumbling.

I have been so busy with my graduated return to work, the rehab, and riding, and being oh so tired and being in pain...and a concert...and child minding.....and volunteering....that I have been derelict in my duties as a blogger.

Last weekend I went riding to Whistler and back. It was a long day.....but something clicked that day. I started to feel good about myself again.
My struggle with depression and anxiety was not helped by the rehab program....being in pain all the time takes its toll on a person's outlook.

I had stopped caring about my appearance most days. I suppose the reason is two fold......I was so shell shocked by the way I have been treated by men that subconsciously, I was trying to not attract any attention.....and having to go to a gym everyday wearing gym gear...didn't inspire me to try to look my best.

Anyway.....for whatever reason....after the ride, I came home so tired....but it was a satisfied tired.

I have tried to take more care. I went for a facial. I started putting on makeup again. I even sprung for a haircut. Being broke sux.

Last Thursday evening I did a volunteer stint for a fund raiser....I made a point of looking good. I am trying to make an effort to bring my self esteem back up.
I have been seeing a psychologist and I am learning some things and benefiting from the appointments.

(if I start to write crazy, it's because I took some muscle relaxers a short time ago. They ease the ache so I can get to sleep. Last week I was in so much pain I had trouble getting to sleep. It's the job.....I truly will have to find something else....in the meantime I am obligated to do this GRTW set up by the insurance company. )

Anyway.......I organized a ride today. There is cruiser forum run locally here in Vancouver......
There were 6 of us today. We had a great ride, good food at lunch, and decent weather.....and then ice cream...

This next picture is from when we stopped out in Abbotsford for lunch. As you can see, it got sunny. (nice and warm , too)



After some riding around we made a stop in White Rock for gelato.....dang! The place was closed. So we went to Crescent Beach to go to another gelato place that one of our group assured us would be open. Nope! Closed.
So we went for ice cream across the street and sat at the beach to enjoy it before heading home.

Little by little I am recovering from the effects of the crash and all the set backs.
Now, I need to get to sleep.....I am still trying to get used to getting back into the rhythm of having to get up for work......

Yep.....I talked him into joining the ride. He doesn't care much for group riding, but he said he did enjoy the day. It was a well behaved group.


I have to lay low.....I am being surveiled..... Mysterious phone calls to various places...but not leaving a name.....very suspicious.....
Then the lawyer sent a message.....the lawyer appointed for the bonehead who cause my grief is a friend of my brothers.....so that particular lawyer has been vetoed.....advised by the lawyer....
then a couple of other "coincidences".....I told the lawyer about them...they agreed that ICBC probably has a PI surveilling me......
Well....2 can play that game.
